Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
⁃ Work on scientific projects involving multiwavelength observations of high-redshift
galaxies, the circumgalactic medium, and large-scale structures, with a focus on data
analysis from DESI, JWST (COSMOS-3D, GO Cycle 3 Proposal ID: 5893), and other ancillary datasets.
⁃ Contribute to the data reduction and mining
⁃ Have the opportunity to lead independent research projects


Preferred Qualifications
Applicants with experience in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply:
⁃ Data reduction and analysis experience of JWST
⁃ Experiences working in large international collaboration such as DESI, Euclid, LSST etc.
⁃ Experiences in multi-wavelength observation (e.g., ALMA, VLT, Keck, or Magellan).
The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in astronomy, astrophysics, physics, or a
related field by the start date of the appointment.


Resources and Opportunities
The postdoctoral scholar will have access to:
⁃ 10% of Chilean telescope time at major observatories, including ALMA, VLT, Gemini, and
Magellan.
⁃ JWST Cycle 1-3 programs and extensive datasets with EREBUS and COSMOS-3D
collaborators
⁃ Opportunities to collaborate with colleagues at the University of Chile, the French- Chilean
Astronomy Lab, and the broader international community.
